HungerSnap

425 Systems LLC / HungerSnap

Your food diary.
Your privacy.

HungerSnap helps you track meals and nutrition. This policy explains how we handle your information and the choices you have.

Privacy policy · Effective October 6, 2026

Information stored on your device

Your food diary, saved foods, nutrition goals, preferences, meal photos, and analysis results are stored on your device. No account is required, and we do not maintain a cloud database of your food diary.

Your device backups may include app data, depending on your backup settings.

Information processed online

When you use online meal analysis, food search, or barcode lookups, we process the information needed to complete your request. This may include:

  • Meal photos, notes, and a limited set of recent food references.
  • Search terms or barcode numbers.
  • Network, device, and request information needed to operate and protect the service.

We use third-party providers to support these features. We do not send your complete food diary or nutrition goals with these requests.

We do not maintain a server-side library of your meal photos. Information submitted for meal analysis is not used by our analysis provider to train or improve its products. Providers may retain request information for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, and service operations. Error logs may include portions of analysis responses.

Information may be processed outside your country of residence.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, HungerSnap requests non-personalized ads. Advertising providers may process IP addresses, approximate location, available device or app identifiers, diagnostics, and ad interactions.

We do not provide your meal photos, food entries, calories, or nutrition goals to advertising providers. Where required, we request consent before loading ads. When available, you can review or change your choices under Ad privacy choices in Settings.

Your choices and data retention

You can manage camera and notification permissions in your device settings, choose which photos to import, and use manual logging without submitting photos for online analysis.

You can edit, export, or delete your food diary in the app and choose how long completed-meal photos are retained. Photos awaiting processing or review may remain longer. Photo cleanup does not delete food entries, and some locally stored thumbnails and associated nutrition information may remain.

Delete all data removes food logs, saved foods, meal sessions, and their captured photos. Some local cached information and preferences remain. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading it does not.

Local deletion does not remove exported files, device backups, or information already retained by service providers. Security records identifying an app installation are retained without automatic expiration. Operational logs and support correspondence may be retained as needed for service operations, security, support, and legal obligations.

Website and support

Our website does not use analytics scripts or advertising cookies. Hosting providers may process network and browser information to deliver and secure the website.

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use this information to respond and handle your request.

Children’s privacy

HungerSnap is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Contact and privacy requests

Contact 425 Systems LLC at [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.

We respond to requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity. We cannot access a food diary stored only on your device. Use the app’s export and deletion controls to manage that information.

You may also have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as our practices change. We will update the effective date and provide notice of material changes through the app or website.
